The Westport Police Department which is located in Westport, Indiana located in Decatur County. We protect and serve the 1800 or so residents and businesses within the Town's limits. The Westport Police Department is actively seeking applicants for reserve police officer. We will be accepting applications until 09/13/2019 at 4 pm. Applications shall be dropped of at the Westport town hall care of Chief Deputy Tony Blodgett. Applications will not be accepted in any other manner. Applicants will be expected to volunteer 16 hours a month as a reserve officer for the Town of Westport. Reserve police officer will be provided quality training on a monthly basis after completing a 240 hour reserve officer training course that will consist of class room training, on the job training and scenario based training. The Wesport Police Department is proud to have a strong history of creating professional, well educated reserve officers who's training has assisted them in moving on to full time law enforcement careers with other local agencies. Applications can be filled out by going to Westport Police web page and downloading the application Applications must be hand written. Applications must be complete and neat. Applicants should live within Decatur County or adjoining counties. Preferably within the Town Of Westport.
